Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Czech Academy of Sciences
Ústav molekulární genetiky AV ČR, v. v. i. (in English commonly referred to as “The Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Czech Academy of Sciences”), with its registered office at Vídeňská 1083, 142 20 Prague 4 (hereinafter referred to as “IMG”), as an obliged person under Act No. 171/2023 Coll., on the protection of persons who report breaches of law (hereinafter referred to as “the Act” and the person as a “whistleblower”), maintains an internal notification system for the purposes of submitting and assessing notifications within the meaning of the Act.
A notification contains information about a possible unlawful act or omission that:
if it has occurred or is about to occur within the IMG and the whistleblower has become aware of it, in particular in connection with the performance of activities for the IMG (but also as a result of other facts as defined in the Act).
In accordance with the Act, the IMG appoints a designated person to carry out the specified activities for the maintenance of the internal notification system and publishes contact details for that person, below.

The methods of notification through the internal notification system of the IMG are in writing, orally, or, at the request of the whistleblower in person, using the contacts listed below:

| In person | If requested by the whistleblower, the notification will be received by the designated person in a personal meeting, within a reasonable period of time announced to the whistleblower, however not later than 14 days. |
The identity of the whistleblower will not be disclosed by the designated person to anyone else, including the management of the IMG, without his or her express consent, unless the information is provided to the competent public authorities in accordance with the law. The designated person has been appointed by the director of the IMG and is the only person who is allowed to have access to the notifications and therefore to assess them.
