Come and join us for the 16th IMG PhD Conference, on October 6th at Milan Hašek Auditorium, IMG!
This isn’t just another academic event – we’re elevating the IMG PhD Conference to a whole new level! Stay tuned for two international speakers who will cover the topics of mental health during PhD and unveil the art of integrating AI in academic writing.
The integration of AI into academia has inspired this year’s conference poster that was partially created with Midjourney AI.

Dr. Ewa Pluciennicka likes to describe herself as a “psychologist passionate about science”. She holds a doctoral degree in cognitive psychology and worked in the field of neuroimaging. In 2020, she combined her two passions and launched the platform “PhD Success” with which she aims to help PhD students with their mental health and daily struggles related to work in academia. Her work has also been recognized by the Nature Publishing. During our conference, she will have an interactive lecture about how to deal with daily struggles of the PhD studies, preventing burn out, and more.
Dr. Mushtaq Bilal is a leading expert on academic writing and the incorporation of artificial intelligence to this process. Academic writing is one of the necessary skills every PhD student needs to learn and it can often times be frustrating. We believe Dr. Bilal will share his tips and tricks on how to simplify writing, use AI for academic purposes, and make our academic lives easier. You can learn more by following him on X (Twitter) or LinkedIn.
Take a quick look on our 12 exceptional students presenting this year covering a broad range of topics from developmental biology, to immunology and neurobiology.
And last but not least, get yourself familiar with the conference programme so you don’t miss anything!
